The tap teacher prepares all students for their exams. Black leotards are quite acceptable for exams the HDA GREEN LEOTARD IS REQUIRED. Please order through Miss Annette when needed. All classes are of one hour duration. Hair in a bun and appropriate uniform is essential at all times.

Ben Mayne- Trained in Sydney and worked extensively throughout Asia and Europe and was an original Tap Dog. Ben has run his own school and been a very creative teacher within Gold Coast Combined Dance Teachers and will be adding his expertise to our Jazz and Tap students.

Andrea Day
Canadian born Andrea has been extensively trained in RAD [ADV ] and Canadian Dance Teachers for jazz/tap. Winning many scholarships in her senior years enabling her to further her studies in America. Andrea has danced professionally in Europe, America and Asia before arriving in Australia where for the past 3 years she has worked as teacher/choreographer at several top performance schools in Melbourne. HDA welcomes Andrea onto the HDA faculty for 2010. Andrea is teaching contemporary and RAD Classical classes for HDA.

Katelyn Shaw
RAD.CBTS has been a most loyal student at HDA for 18years during which she has performed and taught ballet. She was awarded her full registration in October 2009 after 2 years study, with Annette Ashenden being her mentor in her practical year. Katelyn was a high achiever and admired by her fellow colleagues and teachers alike. She is now on the faculty as a fully registered teacher and also is fully certified in Child Care.
